Giving Your Heart Away You know when you give your heart to someone (and we give our hearts often in varying degrees), you know whether it's for keeps or not. Sometimes you know that you are never going to ask for it back. I've loaned mine out before, and given it to friends, but I'd never GIVEN it to someone... a special someone (we all know what I mean). I've met a special someone. He's a good man. There are highs and there are lows. Anyone who expects good times all the time is delusioned (I was). I think the real thing about that feeling lasting forever (as we all hope) is that you are willing to fight, together, out of the bad times and not just give up and walk away. This could take time, and time is something we guard more jealously than our hearts, isn't it? Some say couples should have similar goals if they are going to last... some call those goals objectives... shouldn't one of our objectives be to stay together through thick and thin? I don't know much about hearts and love and stuff... but I do know that I share an objective with someone who now owns my heart.
